I’ve been doing Supply Chain for over a year now. I kind of stumbled into the job by chance, I do well at it, but get overly stressed. Not necessarily passionate about it, but haven’t had anything else stick long term. Should I continue it as a career, just treat it as a job for now, or look elsewhere for something I am passionate about?

I would find something you may be passionate about or maybe reevaluate your perception of Supply Chain. After all these Supply Chains we help manage and organize benefit the every day consumer, just like us. This is what helps me stay passionate in the industry and I understand it may not do the same thing for you, but I encourage you too find a profession that gives you that same level of satisfaction.

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. The rejection gave me a lot of self hatred. I still really want to clerk. Any advice? What is wrong with me? I feel like a failure.

Has anybody made the move from tech consulting (implementation focused) to a product/SaaS company in a Solutions Architect/Engineer role? What's the transition like? Pros/cons of each?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
