In light of all discussions on FB, it seems to me that individuals at our firm have been removed out of EY beyond PIP related issues.
To help the community brace itself, please provide facts on your Utilization, level, leads, YoE at EY, and network.
My experience seems that the ones let go, had weak network.

I wish admin utilized Tier 1 supports with teachers. Smiles, appreciations and acknowledging ones efforts would do a great deal to boost morale and climate. I just don’t understand what that is so hard to do.

Thanks to partners holding me on a team for an extension that never got signed my current utilization is 0 two and a half months into the FY. I’m also going on maternity leave at the beginning of 2022. ***How do you avoid partners f**king up your utilization by doing things like assigning you bad projects and holding you for extensions?*** I’m not horribly worried because my performance in other areas is great, and I have a project starting soon, but wtf man this is frustrating.

Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

GT NY Folks- Tax A1 here, any insight on round tables for first year’s? People have said they generally never fire A1’s, is that true? Utilization is low so a little concerned.

Utilization rates seem so unreasonable. If the firm wants to keep knowledge in house they should put people on the beach to make internal documents

salaried folks: how does your firm calculate your utilization target? My firm calculates as follows:
52 weeks * 40 hrs/week = 2080 hrs/ year
* 55% util=1200 hrs target. Is this standard?

Two weeks on the bench and despite my reaching out I have yet to be staffed. What else do I do? I just got put on a PIP and can’t afford my utilization to be low

I graduated w/ my BS in Marketing in May (2.5 yrs, 3.72 gpa) and I have 1 year of professional marketing experience as a paid media strategist at a 50+ employee agency. I manage big budgets + multiple accounts on Google/YT/FB.

Dilemma:

I’m making $16/hr and I’ve brought up increasing my pay 3 times + the answer has been along the lines of “We’re increasing everyone company wide in the coming weeks, so you’ll get it once we get everyone up!” which was over a month ago.

What do you wish design students would learn in school to ease the transition into needs of business? I have seen an increasing need for more education/inclusion/overlap into other areas of business that depend on design teams so they understand what goes into the process. As well as design teams into the other business teams. This would alleviate tensions and improve quality product delivery due to the major miscommunications that occur so frequently.
