90% utilization with 300+ hours of impactful PRDs. Have snapshots of every work I did this year. Can I expect rating of 1?

It's not a given. You should be fine to get a 2. Earning a 1 seems to be a crap shoot. Were you performing at the next level on your client work? We're you in a leading role for the internal initiatives? Did you coach/instruct ppl at the same level or level below you for either your client or internal work?

like

Then I think that the people should look into whether the person doing the snap shots communicated that feedback to the person and gave them a chance to change. I had two SMs tank my client scatterplots last year despite me going above and the beyond and the partner specifically asking who my counselor was bc I did such a good job. I had a paper trail to back up everything in my favor. They did not do consensus for PDM last year so with 104% utilization, I got a 3. Looking back, they're lucky I stayed.

Depends on how much the people at the panel like you or your counselor

like

OP, think back to your school days. Was the hardest working or smartest person in class always the most well liked? Sometimes.

like

In 2 years I've gotten a 1 and a 2. I think the only difference between my 2 years was luck. To get a 1 you need to either be very lucky or know a lot of PPDs

like

Not with less than 100% imo

like

It depends

like

200 isn't a target. There is no PRD target.

like

Also, 100% utilization and 300 PRD hours. GET ON MY LEVEL.

like

Think I would rather a guaranteed 2 if I could get my utilization below 90% (currently, 115%) the couple extra thousand for a 1 isn't with all that time..

like

What do you mean you don't know how to control the politics? If you want a 1 then you should already know what your general reputation is. Do you think the people at your office know you and like you?

like

While on the irpm system, you will still get a rating of 1-5 at year end

like

They have been scaling back the importance of number of hours of firm initiatives. Client impact is key now

like

Cannot believe no one has asked this, but what level are you? Also, define "impactful".

like

As others have mentioned, can't answer the question yet. What if your scatter plot has you in the lower left quadrant for those 300+ hours?

like

Definitely - just make sure your counselor has your story straight. Got a 1 last year with 88% until

like

D3, I don't know how to control that politics. But do you think these numbers are good enough for me to dream about that golden rating?

like

D5 - I am down :)

like

It isn't about the hours btw. It's about what you did, the impact, and who is willing to support you.
