Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

Enjoy the time!!! Getting paid by doing nothing is the best.
Haha I’m trying but I’m worried that my utilization will be too low and I won’t get promoted on time
Idk but I’ve been on the bench for 3 months now. #CampusHireProblems
Yeah it’s boring but a great time to find new hobbies. Better to be benched as a new hire than a senior
You should only be worried if you’re not actively contributing to the firm in some way. Offer to help others and do some training/development, but don’t twiddle your thumbs.
Each firm is different. Are you a relatively new hire or have you been there a while, usually new hires (or employees with less than 1 or 2 years at the company) have a longer grace period than people who have been there a while before utilization becomes a more major concern.
I wouldn’t worry too much unless someone who helps you with staffing brings it up. Usually there’s only so much in the pipeline and ebbs and flows are normal.
That being said, upskill in your free time and reach out to managers/project leads etc and make it known that you are available, if you haven’t done so already. (But again each firm is different, some put the onus on the consultant to get staffed, while others have project staffers to figure that out)

I’m sure it’s different at different companies. That said, I was benched for 6 weeks when I first started at Slalom and it wasn’t a problem!

Just ask your manager/PL! I did, and I was told that I had “absolutely nothing to worry about” because I was clearly making an effort. I was active in multiple ERGs, I completed dozens of online trainings, I networked a ton internally, I helped out with anything I could regardless of whether I could bill the time or not. I also asked my PL directly what actions I could take to make sure being on the bench wouldn’t have any negative consequences past the obvious utilization rate hit, and I did what they advised and then some. Bench time is amazing for getting to know others at your firm and getting involved with your company.
If this is your 1st year as a campus hire you have nothing to be worried about. Enjoy the time/network/up skill etc
