Is it blending roles of lets say a consultant and manager under a below manager title? If so, maybe ask how the more senior aspects of the role differs from the formal manager role. If unrelated roles at similar heirarchy, i think fine to ask out of curiosity since its prob not a typical mix you've seen before and then frame around how much you'd be expected to contribute to each of these functions under this single role compared to a full role at each of the two functions individually. Use your judgement and if it still sounds sketchy, ask point blank where the lines are drawn to ensure you arent working 2 roles under 1
that's exactly the situation - a combo of manager or workstream lead and consultant. thank you for the advice -- really appreciate it and will ask these questions!
Can you give an example? If the job description lists responsibilities under a job that’s the job. If you think the pay is too low then don’t apply. But not sure how this is misleading if it’s clearly written this way in the job description and the company has the right to structure their positions how they want.
That's fair - thank you!
It's essentially blending the responsibilities of a consultant and a work stream lead or manager, so it initially appeared less senior but as I've started the interview process I have realized that it is more senior than I thought originally
