I’ve started dressing a little nicer - especially for summer. It kills me when people at work got me with the “oh what are you all dressed up for?!” Or “you going somewhere after work?!”

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

15 YOE, recently started my first tech PR job at a large, stable company & have been asked to get ~20 SMEs in front of media. Subject matter is not sexy. So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing.
