Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?

If you’re a creative and have great work, and a good personality, you should be fine. I wouldn’t want to work for a place that wouldn’t hire me on my pants. I mean I’m not going to come in old sweatpants, but my job most people wear joggers all the time.
Wear yourself - only wear something that makes you feel badass but also is work appropriate. You need to be confident and the last thing you need is worrying about how you look.
Ripped in the knees and the butt
Yes, unless you’re interviewing for a media job in NYC - then you should aim for a country club chic or trust fund adult baby
I always wonder this. Even dressing up it's like why are we pretending? After first week I'm going to dress like a dirty bum the rest of my time at this job.
Dark wash or black
Well fitting
@EP1 every adult I’ve ever known wears jeans
Flip flops
What else would you wear?
Cargo shorts, a tank top, crocks, and a dope portfolio of really good ideas and executions
Crisp jeans, yes.
Sharp black jeans, sure, but depends on the agency
If you are a creative, you’re fine
I went to an interview last year and had the interviewer tell me I’m overdressed and that wearing jeans is fine. I was interviewing for a production position. All other interviews after I wore jeans and got offers.
Always
I think it depends on age and level. I interview in what I wear to work. Jeans. If I wear suit I look like a trial attorney.
Is this a joke? Dress like an adult.
Absolutely NOT!!! First impression is a lasting impression. If you seriously want the position, dress appropriately
Only if they have fashionable holes in them.
My old boss didn't hire someone simply because they showed up in a suit. Wouldn't have been my approach, but what I've gathered is that it's a balancing act. Dress clean, not formal, not sloppy.
