Working at D in the cloud practice as an SC. Been here for a few years. I'll be honest, we're pretty shorthanded due to irregularly high turnover. Be ready for lots of work/stretch roles and some very stressed out leaders. Often times the project has to start to crumble to get help and for leaders to take you seriously. I'm actually working on leaving the firm right now b/c of this.
This does not apply to every project of course, but is the general consensus among my peers and I.
If you take it, best of luck, I hope you're experience is better than mine. And congrads on the huge amount of $ - that's very impressive.
Noted. Thanks for the honest insight. Are you in the Midwest region?
Your not going to get a 40% raise with a promotion at Accenture, so I'd say you win at D with that one.
Plus a SC at Deloitte is a M at Accenture, so your not really losing much career wise, just a network at Accenture.
A6, what group if you don't mind saying?
Deloitte is doing some really good projects on cloud. You should definitely consider even for experience sake .
Take the raise, you’ll get another when you get your next promotion too. Comp > title
So you’re saying you’re getting more money with the same level of responsibilities? This should be easy
I can’t speak for your network but 80% of my network at Accenture has moved on to other opportunities. People cycle in and out of consulting so frequently that you’ll probably build a new one fairly quickly.
If you are happy with the compensation, then probably the lateral move at level is a blessing because your performance expectations will be more realistic. it may take a little while to figure out how to navigate the internals. Should give you some time to figure it out.
Maybe leverage this offer and try to negotiate your comp. I’ve heard of this working before. That is, if you’re happy here...
And we just lost another one to Deloitte.... Lol congrats don't worry about title you're making 15k more than me as a manager year 2
Is consultant at D = consultant at Acn? For that kind of money, they may be expecting you to perform at the next level. Equivalent title doesn’t (necessarily) mean equivalent roles and responsibilities.
No. ACN's client market track is Analyst, Senior Analyst, Consultant, Manager+. D Consulting does BA/BTA, Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager+
