We are starting to build our SE team after a successful pilot with one person. Have you ever built a team from the ground up? How did you prove out the business case? What was most effective for building the case for more hires?

They have already given the offer to someone else, but they still want to bring me on board and they asked me what I would like to do. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call. Is this a red flag?
