Killed it in a big demo today.
Lunch and drinks after with the rest of the day off.
Definitely the best kind of days in this gig.

Congrats! What made it such a good one?

One of those ones where I was just on it. I didn’t stutter, over-explain, or have any awkward pauses.
Joked with the client, got good feedback, and had follow-up sessions scheduled before the meeting even ended.

Wish you nothing but the best of leads from the demo! That’s the best feeling!

Nice job, hopefully at least one of those jokes were mildly inappropriate....kidding! Nice job....now get back to work you slacker.

My day ended at 10:30 AM today, working hard!

I recently had an interview with a very promising pre-IPO company in the AI/ML space for a SE leadership position. The interview feedback was better than I expected, but with a twist. They have already given the offer to someone else, but they still want to bring me on board and they asked me what I would like to do. I am in the process of gathering more info, but it is tempting to ask about pivoting into product management. What would you do in this situation?

Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.

I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to
Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.

The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.

Thoughts?

Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call.
