Currently working in Bank with 7+ YOE including 6 yrs in Big4 non-MBA (Masters in Finance). What is the total comp (base+bonus) that I can ask for? What is the general sign on bonus? Thanks in advance

Lean sigma people love lean sigma...that is all
Personally, I think so, but I’m biased. I have LSSBB cert. to be honest, I’ve always focused much more on the Lean side. Sigma is focused on eliminating defects and is very helpful for operations (any, in general, IT, manufacturing process etc) and heavily statistically focused. Lean is about eliminating waste and process improvement. Both are important, but I find the Lean tools more appropriate for most of what I do. I think it is a great cert and if you get good at it, you can become an expert and bring that skill set to the clients and prospective employers
My mother has managed to have a job leading LSS for 25+ years. There is still a demand apparently 😜.
Agree slalom 2 - it’s just another good set of tools to add to your toolset. Need to have the whole set of tools to choose from and know when to use them
I’ve taken green belt training, and to be honest.. not thrilled about it. You’re better off with a PMP cert.. or systems cert, unless you’re planning to go all the way to master black belt. And yeah I’m a lean guy, practicing/coaching over 12 years. Learning how to do a value stream map, and some of the diagnostic tools used in a rapid improvement workshop is a good use of time.. learning about Theory of constraints and Toyota production system may be as well.. but you have to be a little creative in translating concepts in mfg world to office world.
If you are interested go for it, but I wouldn’t heavily invest in it as there is little client demand for it.
Nope 👎
Lean, but not in a vacuum. Complement it with Agile and HCD methods. It's not 1980.
Unless you're in industrial/manufacturing space, in which case - yeah go L6S.
