Leave or stay? Received strong year end reviews from my project leads and built a lot of trust. Appreciate the flexibility and benefits in consulting. But - I’m not comfortable in a sales environment long-term. Should I leave proactively and build industry experience or wait longer? 8 yrs work experience, only in consulting.

Unsure about what to do.. worked as an analyst out of school for $60K 2017-2019. Left after 1yr due to a toxic work environment & to care for my grandpa who had cancer in 2019. Was out of work for 2 years & now have an offer in accounting for the government at $40K. Should I take it because any job is better than nothing or should I keep interviewing & wait for something more aligned with my goals & salary expectations. Don’t want to make the wrong choice again.

I have an interview tomorrow to work at a fintech startup. I'm slightly worried as I'm not sure what it'll be like working While they use functional programming which I enjoy, I'm concerned about how much pressure I'll be under.

What is it like working at a fintech company? Is the salary at a fintech company typically higher than other tech jobs? It'll be higher than gamedev, but just wanted to learn about whether the pressure will be worth it eventually etc.

I currently hold a bachelor in accounting and I am looking into transition to the Cybersecurity world. I have an interest in working with the banks doing penetration testing.

I am given sap as my competency, but honestly I'm not finding it interesting. I was hoping to shift to data analytics(python, sql, etl, powerbi, advanced excel... Working with these techs).
I have knowledge in python and sql. I also have some development skills, reactjs and stuff(not relevant to data analytics).
Should I increase my skill set before starting to apply to other firms?

Accepted offer to leave consulting (3 YoE, no previous lab experience) to join corp strategy team at biotech, any advice on what to do during the first couple of weeks?

Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

I’m a patent pros. paralegal working in bio/chem at my firm, 26 yo with an MS in Chem at 100k and a 115 hr billable req.
After the mental beat down that was grad school, I’m happy to have straightforward tasks and mentally coast, but my attys want me to start studying for the patent bar asap.
I like where I’m at and I know that once I start down the tech spec/agent/attorney path, it’s going to be full speed. How long do you think I can/should stay in this position before starting to study?

What do I do if my manager is ultra super micromanaging, she just called me out on an extra space in an entry in an analytical graph I created😱 not a big deal to me but she said it was unacceptable. Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review.
