Living in California, I have a tough time getting ADHD medication. Most doctors I’ve gone to don’t believe in prescribing it, and the ones who do, I have to go 1x to an appointment to get in prescribed.

I’m wondering, is NYC the same way?

Pardon?

Once a month check-ins are pretty standard nowadays. There was a lot of over overperscribing during the pandemic, and there's a med shortage, so pharmacies are not doing multi-month recurring refills like they use to.

In illinois and michigan I have to have monthly appointments for my meds, and i’ve been on them for years now

There's a ADHD medication shortage going on. Tons of doctors are only prescribing 1 month of prescriptions at a time because the pharmacist will only take a 30-day request.

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m new to this bowl and overweight. I’ve been focused on living a healthier lifestyle for the past several months. I’m down 20+ lbs and ran a mile for the first time in more than 10 years this past Saturday. I used to be focused on health and fitness many years ago but allowed work, school, etc. to shift my focus. Well, needless to say I’m back and working hard at it again! Also, I’m a male living in Chicago. Has anyone used a fitness app? Recommendations?

I wish I would have had this bowl ten years ago 😔 I recently was diagnosed with ADHD. I have been able to manage this far with coping mechanisms but I recently got divorced, have four kids and a busy job with a lot of aspects that are new to me. Now I may get fired for “lack of attention to detail” and “missing deadlines.” I wish I had looked into this so much earlier. I’m two weeks into taking Wellbutrin but I think it takes awhile to kick in, my psychiatrist suggested starting with that…

Have you tried any? Did it help? Affect your productivity? Which ones? tya!

I’m struggling to figure out where I’ll learn the most from and how I can be best positioned in four years 😩

I have a senior who joined the company about 6 months ago. There is no manager in between us. He’s a bright guy but the experience gap is is so huge. I feel like he has to have his hand held for every single task and it is incredibly frustrating. I try to give him tasks that I think are basic enough for him to handle alone but he gets them very wrong. I feel like I have to outline each step and spoon feed the whole process to get a quality result. (Continued)

Venting … So, this is apropos timing. I was hired by a firm (not the one listed on my prof) two months ago and on at least three occasions notified them about my adhd and the anticipated need for an accommodation based on historical experience and my documented diagnosis. Three weeks ago they fired me for not meeting expectations. I only put in four weeks of actual project work, in the last month of a 9 month long engagement. UGH! I just want to work..
