I've never heard of a PM doing any more than reviewing an SOW to a sure timing/staffing looks correct.
dictating deliverable outputs based on personal preferences vs quality or what is needed (regardless of client preferences or request); requesting to review any document (and I mean any document) before it is shared with clients; wanting to schedule all meetings with clients (not just internal); and frowning upon Account Management having any discussions with other departments without involving them (and I mean any discussion).
I have never worked with this kind of PM partnership. I’ve worked in plenty of agencies and always have awesome PM partners and relationships. This just doesn’t feel right to me.
