I'm going to bring a different opinion than what others are mentioning. It won't be hectic when you start in busy season, especially if it's late January. The first few weeks will be training - then you'll be put on a job where the team thought they weren't getting any help. So, they'll just be happy with whatever you contribute. You'll get a lot of credit if you push a job over the deadline if they were struggling - not much blame if they don't meet the deadline (since you're a new hire). Seems pretty win-win to me. Speaking both from personal experience from switching at this time, plus helping onboard a few who also started at this time.
To be Frank I have a few friends who have had experience in b4 and just the profession in general and this seemed to be the overwhelming consensus as well. Appreciate the comment
Get ready for some culture change….pressures can be very different….signed someone who has done it.

Anyone who has respond so far, what is the general experience of someone who jumps to B4 (either from other B4 or other top firm) who starts in January? Hectic? Miserable? Manageable?
I assume starting anywhere in January and I’m busy season will be hectic and miserable if you are in audit

Define Top 10?
I came from a smaller firm to a big 4. I used to only work with managers, but in big 4 due to the constant understaff issue, as a first year senior I had to work directly with md or even partner. I was super stressed because no managers were there to give me training or guidance and I didn’t have enough technical skills and experiences. It gets better later. Just want to give you the heads up.
