OP, I’m also based out of Houston. Interviewed with Slalom last year but rejected their offer; mainly because I’m also in healthcare/life sciences and their HOU office is 100% focused on O&G. Just something to keep in mind/ask questions about during your interview
How much $/ biz can you bring to the table
PAL or CSL (equivalent level on business side)
You will have better luck at the csl level as few offices are big enough to have multiple PALs for functional areas.
Get ready to talk about how you can grow a variety of business lines at your client
Yes our hiring is local market.
You could hit our website and type in cross market. That is our travel group.
Also look up cross market and strategy and operations. Your skills may align to that and they also travel.
My cross market advice is based on the belief that you want to stay in houston
3 M per year easily
Great! Do I have to relocate? I live in Houston and there are openings in Denver..
and thanks for your reply...
Thanks!
Ah got it. Thanks.
Acc1 , how is the healthcare practice doing at Accenture?
Pretty great if you’re in one of the healthcare hubs, but quite shit in TX. That’s the primary reason I’m leaving. At your level, you’ll probably be asked to focus on your local market + clientele b/c of the regional model. You’d still get to travel to your healthcare clients due to domain knowledge, but your time will be split between them and fostering local connections
