Play some call of duty with voice chat.
Realize people are stressed and it’s typically not about you nor personal.
Four years of therapy.
Be like everyone else- take a bunch of adderall and it will make you emotionally unavailable. Probably not the best advice for your health but it will definitely make you less sensitive
Could you be more specific? What do you find upsetting?
I’m a super sensitive person but I’ve learned to separate work from the rest of my life. Become more attuned to how your coworkers in clients think, might be feeling, are dealing with, etc. example: If someone’s email response is aggressive or curt, they might just be trying to send it before boarding a plane or coming out of a tough meeting
I had a panic attack once during a project because I cared too much and my manager was the most insensitive person I know. I had to leave the project and take sick leave for ~3 weeks. After that I realised I cared too much about work because I really wanted recognition. But the reality is there are just so much out of our control in terms of what we can deliver, what recognition we can get. And it’s stupid being sad / loose sleep about some client / partner misunderstanding you / blamed you for something you didn’t do / or maybe even just a simple mistake on your part. We are people and we make mistakes. It doesn’t mean we are not good at what we do. I guess also on the other hand the panic attack has shown me I will always be fine, it’s gonna be okay and time will heal. That helped as well

I remind myself that almost nothing we do is important, so it’s not worth getting spun up over. Then I enjoy my relative financial security.
