Looking to take the PMPi certification test soon, however I wanted to get some more insight on the “36 months project management experience” requirements.

How am I supposed to work as a PM for 3 years without being PM certified. I don’t understand the logic. I have only been working as a PM for 9 months and looking to get certified to better perform in my position.

I don't wanna be a manager, I don't want to do economics. I want to do testing, review, coach. I don't want to always learn something new, I value trying improve the plan of things I know.

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. I’ve been working as an APM at my current company for 1yr, and have basically been doing the work of a full blown PM the entire time. I’ve lead several features from start to finish and made sure to mention in my resume that I have been doing everything a regular PM does.
