Made the move from audit to industry a few months ago but am having second thoughts and am considering going back to public in an advisory role (I know there’s been quite a few layoffs recently at firms) and I’m thinking of applying after at about the half year mark at my new position. Is this considered too short of a tenure?

Has anyone had issues with hiring department? I applied to a IT position, passed the interview and they gave me a start date and salary. I was very happy and can’t wait to start but then… my recruiter told me that we have to delay the start date because my badge has not been created yet. Then it has been 4 weeks later and they say they are very sorry for the wait and they increased my pay up significantly to help compensate for the lost days. I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.
