YUP. I was completely left out of communications re: a launch and everyone’s like how didn’t you know? I wasn’t included. Too many cooks in the kitchen. I hate it. Not taking the blame for this one since I’m not a damn mind reader.
Exactly!
As an AE, i am currently assigned to projects midway with other AEs on the team as well as being assigned new projects with a supervisor and another AE. This gets frustrating for me as the supervisor keeps micromanaging on every point, and with the other AE on the team we dont have proper communication or method for handling tasks. And at times their way of working is waaay different than mine. So definitely agree that rather than having extra support it tends to be completely frustrating. Recently I also had a situation where the other person took responsibility for things I worked on in the background
True for every discipline. Why does this project have a Group Creative Director, Creative Director, Senior Art Director, Copy Director, Copywriter, Designer, and Production Artist?
lol definitely not just you. I feel that a lot. There’s usually way too many account cooks in the kitchen on every project I work on, because that’s just the way our team is unfortunately structured right now. And as a PM that drives me bananas because of the inefficiencies it causes. So nope, you’re certainly not alone in this thought!
