MBB partner looked like he was going to fail me before we even started interview. I didn’t even get opportunity to make warm greetings. Looked dissatisfied with me being there before i could even show my skills. Feel the smallest mistake would disqualify me. My question is why even agree to interview me if you don’t want to? There are many other places to be interviewed, why waste both of our time?

What is going to give me the best chance of moving into PE/IB industry: staying at PwC working in the Deals Consulting team for another year or two, or attempting to move to a startup, unproven PE/VC fund (have 2nd stage interview but unsure it’s the right move)?

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.
