McKinsey and other MBB folks what’s the typical starting engagement manager salary and bonus? I had heard around $200k/30-40% but then i heard this year people got 100% bonuses. Is that accurate?

Want to Return Peanuts (Retention) Bonus - I have got retention bonus and had some tax deducted on it. Form 26 AS has already get an entry of payment of that amount of retention bonus.

Now I want to move out and as per clause need to return it. Post return how my taxable income would be adjusted? Will there be a -ve entry in my Form 26 AS and D will show I have returned it? Any experience guys?

Please share your thoughts if anyone has returned retention bonus or knows the process!

Lately I’ve been feeling pay by bracket policy is very counter productive. When I came from my prev company, I had salary at the higher bracket due to market correction and novartis offer coinciding. Now after a couple of years, I see that people who were hired before or after me on a lower package have somewhat similar package as me cause of the pay brackets despite me performing better. Should I talk to my manager explaining my predicament? Or should I simply search for another job?

I feel like I'm at my wits end. I teach self-contained classes and according to the ISBE website my classes shouldn't be more than 8 students unless I have an aide - then it can be 10. I have no aide and most of my classes are around 14 kids. Some with behavior plans that are only out of our behavior room setting for my class...
