Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
Has anyone left PwC while they still had an outstanding Educational Support Program repayment agreement? What is the repayment process like? Am I required to pay back the amount in full the day I leave the firm or is there the ability to do a repayment agreement? I’m looking at new opportunities and would like to have my new firm take on the amount of the tuition agreement ($14,000) but don’t know how much that might limit my options.

It's not about average. It's about how long you have been in the role. People are AMDs for a lot longer than they are Supes. At Zenith they move from AD to VP. So a young AD will not get paid what a 4th year will.
You negotiated up to 95k, or that's what they offered? Also, what was the prior salary?
130, NYC, (Analytics though)
95 sounds about right to me. Although it’s mak by me realize im underpaid
I didn't think you could negotiate if you're promoted internally
It was an internal promotion. Yes you can sometimes negotiate, I work on a team where salary is fluid
Know some AMDs at Spark Chicago that make $110 - $115.
95 in Chi for a brand new AD is in the higher end of the range unless you are in analytics or any other specialized group like Search or Programmatic in which case probably middle.
Or maybe I’m not. I clearly cant type
Agree with Zenith 1, it’s about experience as AD. If you’re a new promotion, $95k is totally within the range for Chicago.
Im a senior amd in chicago and in the $80k range. Which is standard for internal promotions from what i know. People in $90k range negotiated from outside or specialized role.
95 is in the middle as far as I've been told. Can you tell us how much of a percent increase that is from your previous salary?
Sounds in the range. $125k might be on the high end for Chicsgo. Try Glassdoor, it will calculate a salary for you based on market data.
95 is fair, I’ve seen 75 to 120 - depends how socialized your role is/how much client work you convert/grow/bring in
