I’m not sure how this will impact this bowl, but it is worth pointing out the need to assess whether there should be concern for those in this bowl. While we all understand ADHD is something attorneys are completely capable of managing with legal positions, not everyone in the field agrees with that. https://joinfishbowl.com/post_va66ztgmkw

You accrue it over time served
7.69 hours every 2 weeks
There's nothing PPDs love more than when you take PTO right when you start
OP that's completely reasonable. I just had my wedding in October and my team was encouraging me to take off the whole week before the wedding because of their own experiences, and I definitely needed every minute off. Don't be afraid to ask for both weeks off. That's one of the most important times in your life, and work is not worth it.
1 year will accrue 200 hours
Would make sense to mention that upfront after you have an offer. I can't imagine it would be problematic.
It doesn't matter when you use your PTO. You will be in the negative but it will eventually resolve itself over time (assuming you don't take more PTO than given per year)
If you're on the bench you have a lot of flexibility. If you're starting as staffed, good luck getting approval to take time off as a brand new hire.
You guys, don't scare OP off. If you wanted a day or two off, it's totally doable. Don't book PTO if you're on the bench because that's wasteful, but go ahead and enjoy your PTO lol
Ya you'll be fine
As long as you let your resource manager know of the leave event, you can go into a deficit.
Similar experience as D4. My office helped me get onto an internal project prior to my wedding!
I started a few months before Christmas and knew a fair amount of people that took 2-5 days of PTO for the holidays
