More layoffs at VaynerMedia this week. I've survived 3 rounds in less than a year.... maybe this time I start looking for another job?

Debating betwn staying on with current team after negotiating a 30% increase or accepting PT role, with this negotiated increase the hourly pay is $1 different. (Prior to this I was making nearly $11 less/hour from PT role) PT role was 20 hours/week and emailed ask if I’d be open to 30 which is more appealing. 7.5 YOE in current role, worried about losing seniority in economic climate and risk to layoffs in PT role but being a parent I have been seeking more time not working too. Advice welcome

Does anyone have any knowledge re: typical severance packages for NPs that are laid off?

I was laid off last month but now in the final interview stage for two very different opportunities.

First opp is a digital agency and they asked if I’d consider a part-time contract gig with the “goal to hire” in 60 days, depending on the COVID impact. So no guarantee for a full-time offer. Second opp is a client side marketing role at a publicly traded company that has been somewhat recession-proof. Culture is very corporate and a bit conservative (not creative).

What would you choose?

An agency I used to work at had another round of layoffs today bringing the total number of people who have lost their job to nearly 40. They then went on to post across social media today about the One Show awards they won. The lack of humanity in this industry is disgusting.

I have been laid off by my current company but they kept me on payroll till 8th Sept. I have applied and given interviews to many companies but they have been very slow. He had really low blood sugar on his second day and was almost comatose so he had to be taken to NICU to be monitored and tested every time he feeds. Advice for someone 3-5 yrs into consulting, who loves the client element and the type of work... but is starting to feel slowdown in growth and not interested in subject area?
