Moving from MBB to smaller consulting firms to focus on Life Sciences?
Currently at MBB with 4 YE, a PhD in LS and a passion for it. I’ve done a lot of LS work at MBB but often the pipeline dries up and I’m forced to other random sectors. I’m starting to look at opportunities in industry but I’m not in US and don’t have an abundance of opportunities. I’m also considering looking at smaller, specialised consulting firms that are recruiting specifically for LS. E.g., Simon K, Clarivate, IQVIA, ZS

Do any of the top consulting firms hire into the Engagement Manager level after an M7 (if they had manager experience elsewhere)? I know MBB probably doesn’t but what about other tier 2 firms after that - and asking for US or Canada

Have any US 🐠 gone abroad for their MBA? Looking at LBS / HEC. Pros, cons? Not looking to exit into MBB, FAANG.

At MBB, level for level, do implementation practitioners make the same as generalists?

Know this is a long shot, but if I’m counseled out of one MBB, what are the chances I could get an equivalent job at another? And if not another MBB, thinking that a T2 or B4 could be possible? I’m not even sure I want to stay in consulting, but also feel like I didn’t get a fair shot at it

Did you/can you negotiate comp for experienced entry level consulting roles? Have consulting experience from non-MBB firm, but was hired for the entry role.

I've read through every one of these threads and used the observations / advice I've seen here paired with my own research to get "into the game." It seems like Ripple, Monero, Gnosis, and Golem are the ones worth being in outside of the "big 3" (not MBB). I also bought $1000 worth of ethereum at $210 yesterday because I thought that was a good price, but it's only continued to fall... is that a long term hold or should I convert it to Gnosis or something else?

Ex-Deloitter here. My goal is to finish working across ALL of the Big 4, and then post-MBA at ALL of the MBB. Will I be considered a flight risk or will I garner the Thanos level respect I deserve?

Recruiter or recruiting firm suggestions when looking for an Art Director position in LA at a creative ad agency?

A recruiter from an agency I admire reached out to see if I’m interested in an ACD role. BUT it is for one of their Pharma clients. How can I tell them I’m not interested in that category? I would like to work with them, but on their traditional/consumer brands. I want them to consider me for other opportunities :-/

I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.
