Hi Fishes,
Many peoples saying product based company will pay more than service based company.
But I think nowadays service based companies are paying more than services based.
Actually Tiaa global business services is product based company but not even ready to match the offer. Before interview they are ready to give package but once interview get cleared they will not ready to pay package based on your expectation.
Hi,
What will be the in hand salary for this?

Leave. If they really wanted you to stay, they would show you the money instead of empty platitudes.
Yep, from personal experience, leave but make sure it’s on good terms. If you don’t like industry, you can always boomerang
Go with your instinct. You sought an outside opportunity for a reason. Those reasons don't disappear - leadership will try to maintain status quo and paths of least resistance with employees who perform
Travel isn't all that it's cut out for. Go into the industry, obtain that experience, then think about returning to consulting after 5 years.

You can always come back to consulting.
Good industry jobs are rare.
^this
Also don’t forget there’s a fun bait and switch at D where you think A->C is a real promotion, but it’s the same job with basically no increase in salary
🤣 lol just about every other firm lets you make over $200k before SM except D
When I left Deloitte for an industry role, my Partner said "you'll be back. Consultants always come back." He was right! I loved my industry position and gives me so much credibility now that I'm back on the consulting side. However, it was slow and boring, and I got sick of my year-long projects. I did enjoy evening cooking classes and birthday parties since I wasn't traveling.
Take the new role in industry - you can always come back to consulting as an experienced hire.
I was in a similar position to you, I stayed and I regret it. When I was going to leave all these MDs called me talking about the amazing oops and projects in consulting and how I’m “the future of the firm”....I haven’t heard from any of them since. (I did get a small raise out of it, so at least push for that)
One time I gave up a 30% raise at another place because my boss convinced me to stay and few months later boss left the team of 22 people for a 25% bump.

Does the lifestyle appeal to you? You won’t be traveling for another 8 months. GSAP has become very selective. I think you need to think where this takes you in 2 years from now.
If you’re not sure, I’d say go and try Strategy corp. If you don’t like it, you can always come back to consulting, not necessarily Deloitte. There are plenty of very good consulting firms that would love to hire you.
More importantly, how did you get the role before making C?
