My husband and I are both on H-1b and Deloitte is in the process of applying for his perm status/green card since he is a year above me. At the same time they are in the process applying for my H-1b extension. By him applying for his perm through the firm, would that cover me too or will I have to initiate a separate perm filing? If his filing would cover me, is that something specifically he would have to tell the lawyers or by him just listing me as his spouse in the questionnaire suffice?

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

- I didn't get selected in the H1B lottery.
- My company has agreed to send me to their London office for a year (haven't yet filed application).
- OPT ends in late June, so I can stay till mid-late August (grace period).

Question:
Should I just move to London as soon as I'm able to, or is it worth waiting until the end of my OPT in August in case they do a second round of the H1B lottery?
