8400 take-home after maxing tax advantages accounts. I found a new construction home for $2780 monthly payment if I put 3.5% down. Monthly payment includes taxes, insurance, PMI, and HOA. I have no debt. Is this a stretch? I’ve searched Google and used online calculators. I’ve never spent more than $1600 on rent, so I’m nervous about pulling the plug.

We are renovating a condo and the previous owner had two Crane toilets (not sure how old, but functioning although seals are old according to our contractor). Back outlet flour mount ones are the only options for the building, and one toilet can cost $300-$500.

We are redoing all the bathroom tiles and walls and debating what we should do with the two toilets. Would resealing the toilets extend the use life? Or should we just replace the toilets? Any other recommendations? TIA!!

My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home. My partner’s income was excluded in the DI ratio, but if it were included we’d be well under the % threshold and can be approved to close on time regardless of the sale of my house. However our mortgage company’s underwriting team has been painfully slow in confirming if her income qualifies. She’s been at her new job 1 month after a year off. Anyone with underwriting experience have insight?
