Dear lord. Well she clearly dodged a bullet. Do what you can to cheer her up - go out to dinner/drinks or whatever she enjoys to do. One day she will be able to laugh about this. Job searches, rejections, ghosting, etc are really demoralizing in general, but this experience of hers was something else. No words of wisdom here other than stay positive and something will come along soon. There are a couple of bowls here for job referrals, have her post there.
Appreciate it. I told her she definitely dodged a bullet based on how it was all handled.

Maybe therapy is a good idea if seeing a naked person in an interview by accident is cause for being emotionally scared.
Since it’s this simple, here’s hoping it happens to all of us!
Not to be insensitive but… “Emotionally scarred” from accidentally seeing a naked human? Was this their first time seeing one? Mistakes happen. I’m sure the interviewer and naked person probably didn’t intend for that to happen, so they probably didn’t address it out of embarrassment or actual non-malicious ignorance.
I would guess it’s something like @r&c said above. Or perhaps they thought their background had blur/filter.
What a fragile human
Weird dream!
The lack of empathy is jaw dropping here... For some people seeing spiders is enough for a panic attack. You don't know her life story to judge whether her experiences are enough to emotionally scar her.
Hope she gets well. And run away from that agency. As someone said before she signed a bullet.
“Traumatized” from an accidental naked body?
Do people know what trauma really is?
Unless the naked person in question purposely flashed for the camera with malicious intentions emotionally scarred is a lil too much.
That’s what I’m saying. Unless this is a true crime murder pod in which case LET’S SOLVE THE MYSTERY MURDERINOS.
I’m so embarrassed for everyone telling her to “get over it” or “move on” or “it’s just a naked body.” I hope the next time they are casually walking down the street and someone exposes themselves to them they’ll simply GET OVER IT!
Hope your partner is ok. The interviewer should have at least apologized/turned off the camera. That’s super strange and rude. And with how HR responded, prob best to not work there anyways. Sounds like a cheeky place.
Don’t be shy drop the company name
Literally no one cares
I’ll say this. Maybe my word choice was a bit strong in the post. But there are reasons why she felt uncomfortable and don’t want to invalidate that. No way I’d come on here and explain myself as I’ve seen how everyone has been quick to react to the post. Nudity, yes we’ve all seen it. In an interview she was prepping so much for and have it contribute to an immediate no-hire factor, no. Anyways, hope you all have a great day!
Sounds like you need to get off this board and do some talent managing rather than justify nudity in the workplace so hard ??
Ok. Friendly reminder though, HR is there to protect the company, not the employees or interviewees. Though that is not what they will tell you.
HR is not a safe space; professional gestapo
Ah yes, human anatomy. Very scary
I don’t know who is more lame - the “emotionally scarred” one or the people getting mad at the people laughing at her. Welcome to 2022 folks.
One is definitely more ridiculous than the other
Hopefully she can still sleep at night. And also never steps foot on a beach or a gym locker room 🙏🏽
I’ve actually had something similar happen in a professional work zoom setting not an interview, but we just laughed it off. Every one has a body and accidents happen. I’m so confused with what the issue was? Was the naked person doing something sexual? Or did they just walk by? Also camera resolution on a zoom call isn’t that high def, I truly doubt they saw anything that clearly. But I guess this is a good way to find out you can never ever go to a nude beach together lol.
I’m sorry whut? If it was an accident, it was an accident. Unless someone is fapping in the background or doing something incredibly pointed and rude…take it for what it was—an accident.
Emotionally scarred tho??? Geez.
So it’s been over two years of zoom and teams calls and you hear your roomie/SO on a call and walk into frame buck naked… the nudist has some explaining to do.
The analogies to beaches/locker rooms aren’t valid. You expect to see naked people there.
If you are interviewing for a job on a video call and a nude person enters frame, shock is a very valid reaction.
Your partner doesn’t need to explain their feelings. The agency/company sounds
unprofessional.
This is by no means normal. They are probably just trying to let it slide. I personally would reconsider working for them and ask the HR dept again.

Tell her not to watch any episodes of Girls, I still haven’t recovered from that.
