My partner had an interview where a full naked body (either from a roommate or s/o?) was exposed on the interviewers side of their Zoom background. No apology or acknowledgement towards the situation was ever expressed during/after the interview. She decided to bring it up to HR and they completely brushed it off as well. She is emotionally scarred and in such a slump by the situation and job search in general. Is this normal agency behavior, especially from HR?! So grossed out by the response.

Few tips for looking at exits:

1) Referrals are a huge tool for getting your foot in the door. At Facebook it guarantees that atleast your resume is given more than a glance.

Do you think women in the industry are paid lesser as compared to men.
Out of personal experience ,I can see that during compensation discussion HR person tries to convince a women candidate for a lesser package . Now this could also be the case where it is much easier to convince women to take up the job for lesser salary.
Whereas the male team member gets paid high (same YOE , same number of switch , similar prev CTC) though women are equally or more talented sometimes.

I've never worked on anything for TikTok and hope I never have to. TikTok is from hell. I was on it one time for about 10 minutes and could feel myself becoming mentally unwell in just those 10 minutes. The human brain is not designed to deal with the sheer amount of sensory overload that app gives you. I'm pretty sure TikTok is one of the main reasons we are constantly hearing about how much Gen Z struggles with mental health.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
