To be fair to you, a med student hasn’t impacted the world either. Still plenty of time for them to have a mental breakdown and drop out
Pro
Yeah. They can choose to join McKinsey instead and help push opioids or increase kidney disease.
Sounds like a toxic relationship. In all seriousness, comments like that will continue to get worse and worse. He thinks his career is important and yours isn’t. There will always that sense of superiority and it’ll bleed into every action and interaction you have.
Amazon 1 toxic assuming a "partner" med student has to be a man... Sad
They will spend hours filling out electronic medical records and arguing with insurers . Not the same but may have more empathy for you.
And a first year med school student has done what for the world?
That’s pretty good, but you gotta be quick with the replies. Something like “you know you’re paying as much for school this year as I made in my first year in consulting, it’s gonna take you more than 2 years of real work for every year of school (and residency) to catch up. By that time, I’ll be retired”.
Make slides. Convey message. Done.
Some people lose the fact that it is the message that counts, not the slides.
I have seen some really good presentations be made with a single word on 1 slide.
All these people talking about "toxic relationship"... get a grip.
Lol literally. My brother and SIL (both doctors) don’t believe consulting is a real job. My paychecks say otherwise though

If any part of this post makes you angry, you are not at all well-adjusted lmao
Just enjoying some popcorn over these excellent replies ☕️
Needed to see this today OP, it do be feeling like that from time to time.
LOL had the same conversation with my partner today (who is a former consultant) who was like "Still coloring the boxes on the same slide I see"
