My SO has a PhD in mechanical engineering and wants to pivot to data science. He considered OMSCS but doesn’t want to do a masters after a PhD. Any boot camps that have successfully helped people move to data science? I’m a data scientist myself but have never done a boot camp before.

I trained on .net and then after I supported .net application. After 3 years I got to work on ssrs reports. We build reports from scratch in ssrs, then I worked on qlik view application. Attended training on qlik sense. My question is for which openings/certificate I have to look .net (I have only support knowledge) or reporting tools like ssrs, qlik view ? I am struggling to choose with the way to upgrade myself.

I am prior military and went to law school. Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate.
