Need some advice, hope you can help.

31 y/o, $150k with bonus, live in NYC, net worth 200k. Expenses $2-3k a month including rent. No Debt! Could do better, could be worse.

I currently use ETrade and Thrivent Mutual Funds. I’ve done ok, but are there any IRA platforms/ funds that people prefer, perform better (Vanguard, Schwab, etc)?

Wow way to keep your expenses low! Hope you still find your fun. Imo all the platforms have comparable five and capabilities, just pick low expense ETFs and diversify. I almost only invest in VOO now.

I do have fun lol. I love baseball, and spent some $ to watch the Brewers at Fenway. I’ll spend $ on sports, but I’m frugal on everything else.

I am a fan of Vanguard and VTSAX, big fan of ‘The Simple Path to Wealth’

I like vanguard for retirement and betterment for taxable investing

Fidelity, Vanguard, and Charles Schwab are the big three when it comes to reliable brokerages. I don’t think you can go wrong using any of those. If you like the Vanguard ETFs/mutual funds, it would be best to open an account with them. Same if you like specific products from the other two. I use Vanguard and the website is much more functional than the app, but no complaints otherwise.

Wow, where do you live? With roommates? Do tell.

Hi all,

I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?
Current - 9.9

For those who have gone from one big 4 to another…was it frowned upon by your superiors/looked at as a slap in the face, even if your intentions are to leave on good terms?

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?
