Wow way to keep your expenses low! Hope you still find your fun. Imo all the platforms have comparable five and capabilities, just pick low expense ETFs and diversify. I almost only invest in VOO now.
I do have fun lol. I love baseball, and spent some $ to watch the Brewers at Fenway. I’ll spend $ on sports, but I’m frugal on everything else.

I am a fan of Vanguard and VTSAX, big fan of ‘The Simple Path to Wealth’
I like vanguard for retirement and betterment for taxable investing
Fidelity, Vanguard, and Charles Schwab are the big three when it comes to reliable brokerages. I don’t think you can go wrong using any of those. If you like the Vanguard ETFs/mutual funds, it would be best to open an account with them. Same if you like specific products from the other two. I use Vanguard and the website is much more functional than the app, but no complaints otherwise.
