Be straightforward and address the issue head on. No need to be rude about it but you also can’t contemplate on how to address it “sensitively.” Unfortunately, some things, no matter how nicely you try to say them, people still take offense at times. And you can’t control that. Be as nice as you can while also being as honest as you can. This is a business at the end of the day. It’s nothing personal. You are there to do a job, ultimately.
Do you have a 1-1 with your manager? Say you’re glad Xxx joined the team and your appreciative to work with them, but the work isn’t up to the standards your used to and you want to be transparent that you hope it’s not reflecting poorly on you and ask what you can do to assure things are still the same quality as before.
Just be blunt and straight forward. State facts and let them react. Every AE should have the ability to do this with their managers
