Yup. Bill in excess of target some days/weeks/months and that makes time to bill below target elsewhere.
So for example, I need to leave early for a kid function. Before covid, I would go to office 2 hours before opening to allow me to make up that time. I plan a week vacay in one month, I calculate what I need to bill every work day during that month to meet my goal and not work during that week of vacay. I keep an average daily quota post it on my monitor to keep myself in line. Gotta get that bonus.
You work more hours to hit your billables. No one really cares when the work gets done as long as it gets done.
Yeah so that means you don't get time off 🙄 you make up time instead. I'll adjust 🙂
Correct. There is no PTO. It’s a pain, but it pays well.
Most firms will offer some type of flexible work arrangement, where your hours target and salary are reduced. This is usually for taking care of children or an elderly parent but you could possibly ask for something like this if you consistently need time off for other personal reasons.

You can take intermittent family leave, but it counts against the max.
