Not sure if this is the place but want to find similarly minded folks about reforming healthcare.

I see 3 primary drivers of healthcare inflation (not in any type of order): 1. under supply of doctors/hospitals controlled by the AMA cartel, 2. federal tax expenditure on not taxing employer premiums, 3. Medicare/Medicaid that shifts costs to private insurers.

Can’t do much for 1 & 3, and call me crazy but if one were to sue the IRS/US for tax policy and win it may delink insurance and employer.

I’m fairly certain that everyone except for the people that have the actual power are on the same page on health insurance.

The tax expenditures for premiums do greatly distort the healthcare market, but that is an entirely legal policy decision that is legislated by our elected representatives.

You can’t sue the IRS for following the tax law. 😂

There is no such purchasing restriction that you speak of. There is also no legal requirement for an employer to pick a health insurance which is perfect for you.

Everyone is free to decline an employer’s health plan and purchase their own insurance if they prefer it - at their own cost if there is no HRA. Many people do buy secondary coverage for additional needs.

If you want to delink health insurance from employment status, you should try to persuade legislators to CHANGE the tax law. There is no legal issue with the current system.

You're definitely missing the point. You think Healthcare is only a need in the USA?

I read that some women don’t really “feel” pregnant until 6-7 weeks… but i did “feel” then stopped. It just sucks. If you have any advice for coping, I’d appreciate it.

Hello folks,

My current ctc is 23lpa and I have offer of around 36lpa in India
However i am getting an onsite opportunity In Denmark, what should be my expected ctc there? Considering the country is much expensive. If anyone has done research regarding cost of living in Denmark earlier, please share your thoughts on this, it would be very helpful. They are willing to offer 60k euros, but I feel 36 lpa in india is better deal. Companies are equivalent.
