Why do some people say that the senior level at big tech (e.g., L6 at AWS) correlates to senior manager level at big 4? I get it from a comp perspective since comp is just that much higher. But from a scope/skills perspective, I find it hard to believe that L6 is closer to SM than it is to SC. Asking cause I have a senior level offer in big tech. Amazon, AWS, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft

Partner passed me over for a sr manager but treats me like one (constantly managing multiple projects, driving his practice initiatives and driving 1-2 /$300-500k of proposals every month. Boutique is offering me the TC that I won’t make here for 3-4 years - same level, more focused scope. Also talking to a tech firm that will be a slight bump (10-15%) but likely 25% less work/stress. Worried a little bit about career progression. Thoughts?

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

Was reading an info article I received about "Reading Progress." I am copying the lead sentence from Monica Burn's June 21, 2021 article for you, but I really want to know if anyone is using this app. "Reading Progress is a new, free app built right into Microsoft Teams." It looks good to me on the surface for ALL teachers and is time efficient! Any thoughts?

Hi D&A 🐟, I’ve been thinking of doing a career pivot from cyber security to data science.
