I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

You've got a point, it's obviously unfair. But I think that's just indicative of the way a lot of managers show less respect to remote workers. They should have given you the time off, sure. But I don't know if it's worth making an issue of it, it's smart to choose your battles.

My old job did this. They said it was a perk for those that come in only.
If you work a hybrid situation and the holiday falls on a work from home day…then maybe…but if you are a full time remote employee, then no…it should be a perk for the in office worker.
I can kind of see both sides here, but I think if nothing else, your employer should have made it clear that in-office people have early release or something to that effect. It would be frustrating to me that it wasn’t something known or addressed. Especially if it’s been years of that.
