Dear Amdocs Hiring Team, Thanks for the worst experience. You guys took almost 2 months for hiring process, asked for all the documents, even shared the CTC breakup over email and at last after multiple follow ups over calls and emails, you replied by stating that "Unfortunately , we are not moving ahead with your candidature at moment." When I asked the reason, you are clueless till now what to say? You guys even don't have enough courage to respond my calls. #Amdocs #Hiring

Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

I think you all are missing the point. OP is saying the firm is pouring $ into a holiday event instead of giving back. From what I know Deloitte has many corporate citizenship programs that address giving back. The holiday party is a good way to give back to the employees as high morale is best for the company and keeps people motivated thereby keeping performance high.
They should use that money to do dinner service for those people in needs , such as meals on wheels
How many people? Catered events costs are ridiculous. It’s like $7 a shrimp. Plus bar. I can see $30k going very fast. Leadership isn’t that off if they were going with a standard budget.
OP - Can you think of a way to leverage that $30k to make an even bigger impact for a cause (or causes)? Using the money to purchase very nice silent auction items or sponsor a raffle are examples. Take ~$15k and turn it into $30k for a good cause.
I had another idea while out on a run - what about holding a competition amongst accounts to see who can raise the most $$ for a given cause? The winning account gets a bomb a$$ prize or event paid out of the budget, and the winner is announced at the holiday party. That could generate >$30k in social impact if participation is high.
What did you think consulting was real work? Plan that party! 30k should be bomb, must be a ton of people
That’s legit wedding territory
