My advice: Call an accountant.
Pretty common. Depends on the states. Sometimes you have to file in both, sometimes they have an agreement in place and you only file in one.
Hopefully your employer set you up correctly for this based on your payroll address. Otherwise you’ll have to file in both states, get a massive refund from one and pay it in the other. I’ve had to do this before. If set up correctly you only file in your home state since that’s where you paid taxes. Oh and if you moved last year then still have to file
partial residency for both states.
I do this now. Had them set up payroll to withdraw my state’ taxes.
