I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

I just passed Reg. I used Becker to study and focused on multiple choice questions. I did them all and made sure I understood everything. Once you have the concepts mastered from doing all the multiple choice questions you shouldn't really have any issues with the sims.
I am using Becker and it took me about 3 months to study for FAR. That includes getting through the material and 3 additional weeks of review. I think that was too much review so going forward I am looking to do only 2 weeks.
I only did multiple choice questions but if there was something I wasn't clear on I watched the lecture over that particular topic. Studied for 6 weeks working full time. I just studied for 2-3 hours each night after work and most of the day on weekends.
What course review did you use and how long did it take you to study for FAR?
@pwc1 - what was your Becker strategy? Lectures, re-write notes, multiple choice questions until you die? How long did it take you to study? (Working full time?)
Just passed FAR. Reg is my last one ^
NINJA MCQ.... Do all new questions until you have done them all..... Then do all the missed questions until you get it right..... Then practice trouble questions. And practice sins..... But I'd focus more on training yourself to answer the questions the way the test makers want you to (formatting etc)
