Anyone who has got RFE on their H1b application?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

A 17% bump doesn’t offset additional stress.
Honestly not worth the headache and risk that comes with the raise. You’re making good money already. Aside from the headache that the extension and GC process might create, will you enjoy working at Citi more? Will you like the work more? There’s a few question you would need to ask yourself and weigh the cost benefits
It depends on what you value more. $25k more in gross income or an accelerated/almost-confirmed GC process. As an immigrant, I will stay with PwC. Not worth jumping ship for less than 20% anyways.
Agree. I’m fortunate enough to have come to the US as a kid but if I were in your shoes, OP, I’d stay unless the pay is absurdly more. You are so close to getting that GC and once you have permanent resident status you can do whatever you want.
WRT to your salary, it seems like you are SA3, why don’t you try to get to manager. Also just to add I was the same situation and I didn’t take up the better offer because of additional delay in GC. A $500 addition to your paycheck is not worth the delay.
Coach
Oh I missed where you said it's 144 after the 5% bump. So you're making management consulting, T3 city, no MBA M1 money. Which means there's no longer a compensation bump for being in consulting over audit.
If this is the going trend for all Big4 then it's definitely time to dip to industry or a dedicated consulting firm
$140k for Senior? What practice???
P14 got confused between me and OP !
Just started the GC process with PwC now. Are you in FAD? 140K for senior is really high. I’d choose to stay in PwC if you don’t hate the job too much
Stay where you are unless the new opportunity is significantly better career wise
The devil you know vs. the devil you don’t know. $25k? Stay. PwC does their people justice in most cases.
PwC has always been known to take care of their people. Completely agree
Get your GC then make moves. Don't look a gifthorse in the mouth 😉
Do you have to relocate?
Traveling to the office makes a big difference for overall happiness. Countless studies on that.
It’s been 10+ years since I worked at Citi but it was pretty terrible then. I haven’t heard much better from colleagues still there. Sounds like a lot of stress.
I’ve got a stupid question. When people say Citi, is that Citibank or something else?
Nah it’s Citibike 🚲 🚲 🚲
Op - what area of work are you in?
How many YOE op??
Stay!
Not worth leaving considering all the immigration status items as well.
Stay with PwC. No reason to move for the raise - you can negotiate maybe with PwC.
You’re asking a question like this as you’re about to pick up manager? Yikes. Stay..
Well don’t have us pay for your extension and then leave.
