Senior associate is around a SC at D, but since we have the analyst level, I sometimes see C’s go to PWC as a SA, or SC’s go to PWC’s as a manager

Agreed. It’s not a 1 to 1 mapping. If you’re a new SC you’ll likely come in as a SA2 or SA 3 (meaning 2nd or 3rd year as an SA). Note, the typical promotion cycle to manager is after 3 years as an SA. If you’re a C, you’ll likely come in as an SA1 or A3. If you’re an experienced SC, I’d aim for manager although they may ask you to “prove it” by starting as an SA3. This is all based on things I’ve seen and heard. Never been in the position myself
