I’m in it. Love it so far. The flexibility and being remote is a nice change of pace. Definitely requires project management skills but all in all so far it’s been good having more control of your schedule

The goal of the initiative (currently one of the largest the firm is undertaking) is to standardize, centralize, and automate the audits. Like PwC said it’s mainly parts of the audit that are simpler, however FSLI such a stock based comp and other complex areas are included. The endgame would be to have clients subscribe to audits and basically pay one standard fee every time and be issued an audit opinion year over year consistently with minimal interaction.
Sounds like the future of auditing.
Makes sense but there always be some kind of transaction or issue that would involve lot of professional judgment where you have to interact with client, the board, etc.
