Thank you, thats nice of you—now cue someone commenting that its the stupidest thing theyve ever heard 😃
I’ve had this moment too - almost cried seeing everyone’s faces again in a virtual happy hour that I’ve missed too many times due to conflicts. This is hard. I miss my friends.
Most of us spend more time with the people we work with than our own families (we can debate whether that’s good or bad, just stating reality for sake of this reply). And if we’re lucky, we actually like some, or hopefully most, of the people we spend so much time around, depending on, and sweating out deadlines together. I’ve had work friends become best friends, more than once. Most people in the world go to work, maybe they can tolerate it, and ultimately just collect the check. If we are among the lucky ones that like folks we work with enough to miss them to that point, I’d say that’s a pretty damn good outcome. Long way of saying — I often feel the same way, and I’m sure they miss you too
