We always share, and I don't feel bad about it.
Unintentionally fed by my toddler’s messy eating
We make him boiled chicken to go with his dog food and then depending on what we are eating and if it’s safe for dogs we share a little. They are only here on this earth a short time and deserve treats too.
I give my dog, Luna a little every day.

Depends on what it is. If it's some bland food I'm eating I'll toss him a few scraps when I inevitably don't finish what I put on my plate. He likes his veggies too, so if it's one safe for dogs, he gets something tossed at him.
I do not share my food from the table with my dogs. I have occasionally given them a small piece of a fruit or vegetable if I’m having a snack on the couch but I had one food aggressive dog and he would beg continuously if I had ever given in.
I cook for my dog every single day.
Let me separate this in two different pieces:
1: feeding the dog from the table is an absolute nonstarter at our household because it encourages begging and the expectation of food when people are eating. This is particularly problematic if you have Guests over who may not want a dog begging for food while they’re trying to have a meal with you.
2: feeding the dog people food is something we do at every meal we’ve chosen to make homemade food because we believe it’s healthier for the animal and will avoid problems down the road.
Over the years I’ve had four dogs each weighing over 100 pounds - They eat their meals in their bowls, and none of them ever took food off the table.
They are my children, why would I not feed them?
Only on holidays 😂
I give in too from time to time. 😏 Just have to watch for grapes, chocolate falling on the floor by accident because these are harmful.
I mostly just make sure table scraps don’t have things she can’t have (like fried chicken okay but some kind of garlic chicken, not okay).
When our kids were in the house all of my dogs at table snacks. Now that we’re empty nesters, we do not feed table snacks. We give him apple pieces or a slice of green pepper for positive reinforcement though. He doesn’t beg and he won’t take food off of the table or counter like previous dogs.
I’ve always had Labs or Golden retrievers, these breeds are prone to being overweight. It’s hard for me to see fat dogs so we’re going to try to it w no table food this time around. So far so good. 😊
Most table scraps make mine's belly funky. So unless I want to deal with that, I generally don't.
But he's picky anyways, he often won't eat the things I drop and don't want to have to clean up.
I usually tell myself that I will not feed my dog from my plate, but I more often than not fail at this 😂

Well confession time I guess. I don’t think most human food is good for dogs because of the salt and seasonings. That said, I’ve given in to the doe eyes from Oreo and Cookie more than I’d like to admit! I would sometimes even slice and apple and have it on the side to feed them if what I’m having can’t be fed.
I'm a sucker too, LOL!

I can eat most things without them being annoying. Except cheese - they have laser ears when that cheese drawer opens both are like hi mom. We like cheese. Gave Lola a carrot she spit it out
