Reading the HBS thread has me worried for applying next year. It seems like for an Asian male even a 3.8+ and 750+ with MBB/BB IB/PE experience doesn’t even get an interview? Is the bar even higher than last year?

I have applied for the position of a consultant at Accenture and am currently ongoing the interview process.
I have successfully cleared the Skill 1 and Skill 2 interview rounds and was now expecting that the next would be the HR round.
I have been mailed that there is there is a third round before the HR round that is going to conducted the next week.
Skill 1: Pure Technical
Skill 2: Semi Technical + Managerial

What you I be expecting in this third round?

I interviewed at Google and cleared all onsite interviews back in July. Then came the hiring freeze and my role was de-prioritized. Now I'm being called for another position which I applied through the same recruiter before for the same group but different role. My question is will Google reuse the positive feedback and will it help/add value to this new position?

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I recently interviewed with DTIC and completed all the rounds and kind of felt it was done linently and kind of confused now if it is good to join? I am from Kolkata and have to relocate to Bangalore for it.

When did you decide to get medicated? I have what I’d call “high functioning” depression and anxiety. See a therapist and all, but still deal with lows that seem hard to overcome for weeks on end - losing interest, hard to focus on work, sleeping difficulties, etc. Hard to tell when to make that decision!

When ever I try to build a strategy, they (founders) swamp me with blablabla stories and not a single action plan. Is this the usual at startups? Also,no real company culture. At all. No HR. What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? Emailed the schools and some have replied saying I should update my resume and send to them.

I'm a little at a loss of what to add to my resume. As most of you know in consulting we don't get a bunch of new responsibilities the second we get promoted to the next level (at least before getting promoted to M).

Don't own a personal laptop; always use my work laptop for everything. I see people recommending Dell XPS or Lenovo Thinkpad but do you really need that for school? My plan was to just get a run of the mill laptop to use for excel and ppt...what else do i need it for?
