Resigning from my job and have about 75k points on a corporate Amex. I don’t believe I am able to transfer these point to any of Amex’s free card options (since those are all cash back rewards). Is my best bet to transfer them to Delta at a 1:1 rate?

What is a simple way to explain to my boyfriend that investing in equity with an expected return of 10% is better than paying off debt that is growing at a rate of 6%. He has student loans and is adamant that he wants to pay all of them off immediately before saving any retirement money.
