It could be possible, they might have different rules of vaccination trials compared to that of the US. Same goes for any other nation.

However, now it depends on how our orange leader handles it. If he gets the vaccine from his bff, he should make sure that there are thousands of trials before it can implemented on a human being. Otherwise, there could possibly be a bio warfare.

likefunny

@D1 - I thought that was implied when I said that we have to do thousands of tests before we can give it to the public.

I think the bigger question is, once a vaccine is approved for distribution in the US... will enough of the population take it so that it’s actually effective long term?

Herd immunity feels unreachable.

Best,
A wet blanket

like

Don’t getting the vaccine protect me from an insane case of covid regardless if the 80 year old grandma down the street gets vaccinated or not tho?

Are you saying that even if herd immunity isn’t reached, the people that do get the vaccine are still at the same risk of a serious case than if they didn’t get the vaccine?

They tested it on 38 people, literally.

funny

mother russia!!! saving the day once more!! see how you capitalist scum like the gulag!!

funny

Some speculate if testing continues to go well production should begin in Sept or October, with January being the distribution date if the plan works.

like

it wont be available for general public until 1/1/2021.... I wonder when the US one is going to be available for general public.

like

They're already manufacturing it, but availability depends on whether the tests are successful. It may well be that the Oxford vaccine we will have in the West is already safe and ready, but we will only know when tests are concluded. Russia just decided to skip (or abbreviate) the Phase 3 tests and hope for the best...

I think I will hold off for one that has been properly tested.

The simulation is running just as expected.

And that kids - is how they adopted the last of us game in real life

Cue the start of the zombie apocalypse

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.

Anyone knows the chances of location being changed after receiving the offer and getting tagged to a project?

I have not yet accepted the offer.

From my understanding 10% PS is better because it’s just a standard 10% on top of whatever I contribute though it takes 5 years to vest. Does this mean if I leave before 5 years I don’t get any of it?
