I’ve seen a few people travel there recently during spring break. Does Puerto Rico have a large tourism industry ? Considering a trip myself

Sorry, did not mean to be condescending, it was a real question. Since you are really asking.
Yes, Puerto Rico and specifically San Juan is a big tourist destination for Americans. It’s a US Territory in the Caribbean. Major cruise port. Most, but not all, Puerto Rican’s speak English and the local currency is the dollar.
There are also smaller islands, which are part of Puerto Rico and have tourism infrastructure.
More non-Americans travel to the other islands because it doesn’t require a US visa to enter, which is much harder to get than the other local visas.
Should be fine, I am going to PR over Memorial Day weekend to see family and am not really worried about anything other than a passenger on my flight there and back throwing a fit over wearing a mask.

Are you and those you'd be travelling with vaccinated?
I’ve had friends who traveled there recently without issue.

I had friends who went. I love pr. Ý concern is if you test positive while there you are sick there for 14 days. You can't come back
Yes
Yeah it’s safe, my folks went there for a month long trip. They had so much fun
I went in February and it was great. Solo F and I felt safe the whole time. Like anywhere, just use common sense and you’ll be fine. At that time you needed a negative covid test within 72 hours but not sure what the rules are now. I was impressed with the covid precautions. Seemed better than what I’ve seen in nyc
