What can I do if I believe I’m being overcharged for utilities. I was charged prorated around 125 for 11 days for water and electricity (this is my share in a four bedroom apartment). Gay man who works in a large org that is big on diversity and inclusion efforts. I’d say about 50-60% of people (at all levels, across all age groups and races) list their gender pronouns in email signature. I list mine because I see it as a way to show support for colleagues who may not be cisgender. If anyone else works in the same type of environment, do you infer anything about colleagues who choose not to list their gender pronouns? (such as they are homo/trans phobic?)

What is the obsession and appeal for MBB among MBA grads? Is it really that amazing - from afar it seems like it may be romanticized (maybe not the right word) among applicants. I know it’s way better than the work I do now, so I’m not knocking MBB at all. It’s super impressive. I am a consultant working in one of the big 4. I have got a call from DE Shaw HR for a role in their Project Finance and Investment Research team focusing on Energy sector? Being an MBA in Finance graduate, I am in a dilemna on which path might be better I the long run -consulting (where I am more of a generalist, taking up random asks from clients and onshore stakeholders) or Project Finance & M&A where role might be more specific.

Its just 3 months, I joined a company and I am already stressed. I was told that I need to come to office twice a week ( which is 2 hrs away from my home) but now since 3 months I am asked to come thrice a week. Sometimes have to extend a hour or two in office without extra pay. Is it okay if I switch or shall wait for few more months and then see? Please advise

Little background:

Asked for promotion in late 2020 - was required to skill up, after skilling up, asked again about when I'll be promoted and was denied because there is no "vacancy" for it.
Got my annual hike in Oct 2021 without the promotion. I asked HR last week again and got a random announcement email saying my promotion is w.e.f Oct 2021. ( and no raise for the newly promoted role).

In an increasingly hybrid/remote working culture, how do you educate and convince your business stakeholders to not do info overloads with emails? The risk of people not being aware is there but sending separate emails for every sub-program, webinar is annoying (as a receipent) I understand employee perspective.

It's funny how leadership development programs are a sham. Content is wordy and managers who preach don't practice.
